Lamination

Brows lifted and set in place

Lamination suits brows whose hairs point in different directions or look flat. A lifting treatment lets the hairs be brushed up and set, so they sit in the shape you chose. It takes more time than a shape, so choose a day with room around it.

What happens, step by step

  1. 01
    10 min

Step 1: Patch test and map

After a patch test on an earlier day, your artist maps the shape you want.

  2. 02
    15 min

    Step 2: Lift

A lifting product softens the hair, and a spoolie brushes it up and into position.

  3. 03
    15 min

    Step 3: Set

A setting product holds the hair there. Your artist checks it every few minutes and can wipe it away at once.

  4. 04
    10 min

    Step 4: Finish

Both products are removed, the edges are shaped and the brows are brushed into place.

Good to know

Before, between and after

  • Before you book

Book a patch test at least 48 hours ahead. Tell us about allergies, sensitive skin, and any perm or lift product that gave you a reaction. Please wait if you have irritated skin or a cut at the brow.

  • How often

Clients usually return every six to eight weeks, with a shape visit between if they like. Every brow follows its own schedule, and your artist will say when yours is ready.

  • Aftercare

Keep the brows dry and untouched for the first 48 hours: no water, makeup, steam or rubbing. After that, brush them up each morning and keep oils off them.

Questions

Two questions we hear

Do I need a patch test?

Yes, before a first tint or lamination, at least 48 hours ahead. It shows how your skin responds. It helps, but it can't predict every reaction, so tell us about allergies, eczema or sensitive skin around the brow.

What if I react?

Reactions can happen. If you notice burning, swelling, redness or blurred vision, tell us and call your doctor, and go to urgent care if it is severe. Your artist stops a service whenever you ask.

Book a lamination.

A deposit holds your chair and goes toward your service. A patch test comes before a first lamination.
