Shaping

A line drawn to your face, then shaped to it

Shaping suits anyone who wants a clear brow line without changing their brows. We measure first, draw the line with a pencil, and take away only the hair outside it.

Good to know

Before, between and after

  • Before you book

Skip retinoids and exfoliating acids around the brows for a few days before wax. Tell us about eczema, a skin condition near the brow or any reaction to wax or adhesive.

  • How often

Most clients return every four weeks. Between visits, leave the shaped line alone and let the hair outside it come in.

  • Aftercare

Keep the area clean and out of heat for the first day: no steam, sauna or hot shower on your face. Skip makeup on the brow until any redness has gone.

Questions

Two questions we hear

How does this fit with threading or waxing?

Shaping is where they meet. Your artist chooses tweezers, thread or wax for the hair around your brow line, or follows your preference. You can book any of the three on their own.

How often should I come back?

Most clients book a shape every four weeks, a tint every four to six, and lamination every six to eight. Every brow follows its own schedule, so your artist will suggest a rhythm after your first visit.
